Engine Guards
September 2004: The engine guards, part number K32000-124B, are $82 from Kawasaki. They come with the necessary fittings and are a breeze to install. Two bolts replace the original engine mount bolts at the top. A U shackle secures it to the lower frame.

On my second ride after healing from the accident, the right guard was scratched in a zero speed tip over that happened as I had to stop to avoid an inattentive driver at a gas station.
